A tribute to Chris Cowan

A tribute to Chris Cowan

Todays unveiling of the electronic scoreboard as a lasting memorial to our fellow SV Chris Cowan was a humbling experience, so representative of Morecambe Football Club and all that it stands for.

Like many others I personally didn't know Chris but today I felt privalaged to have been at The Globe Arena to witness the way his family and loved ones conducted themselves and to share with them and his former colleagues from Heysham Power Station in the unveiling of a fitting and long lasting tribute to 'one of our family'.

On behalf of Lucy, Christine and myself. I would like to thank all fellow Morecambe fans, Staff and Directors of the Club for all the kind thoughts and support you have given us over the past few months.

Morecambe FC are truly a friendly and caring family club.

The Scoreboard is really fantastic and a great tribute to Chris.

Lets hope it can register some great results for the club !!!

Thank you all once again,

Mike Cowan
