Word from the horses mouth is usually good enough to end any other speculation,
He goes to Colchester on Monday

That will be a tough commute from Heysham !

If he or Thompson were to return to Christie with their new clubs in the coming months/years, i certainly wouldn't boo either. Both players came through the ranks and have done alot for our club.

It's the booing I do not like.

I too dislike booing, especially of ex players we cheered when playing for us.
There has been times when a player for an opposing team has - granted sometimes as a reaction- used expletives or hand gestures to incite our crowd and people boo them.
How about when a player cheats and dives his way through a game and gets a game turning decision in his favour, would you not boo him then?
Now, when they get constant x rated abuse I don't blame them for their reaction, but sometimes it's an over the top reaction.
We've never seen an Eric Cantona type reaction but there's no excuse for some reactions.
Neither fans nor players are saints, let's face it.
