Looking forward as always to this 'home' game at The Lakes Radio Stadium, home of Kendal FC.

As one of my employers (The Bay's sister station no less), I feel duty bound to correct you there CC.

It's The Lakeland Radio Stadium.

I'm afraid I have no sway over the policing of peanuts in the Wright & Lord suite. Sorry.

Be interested to hear how Hendrie does, CC.

It would yes, it would be very interesting if Mr Mcilroy could let him have some game time in the first team as well, I can't see it happening though unfortunately.

Score update

With 30 minutes to go it's 2-0 to us with goals from (I think) a screamer from Hendrie and another from the impressive Fleming.

Hendrie is playing his best game to date in 'the only Red shirt' that counts; whilst Fleming is looking hungry and putting on a determined performance in front of Sammy who is in attendance.

Had to leave early so will not be able to provide the dull time score.

Jody says it was Spencer and Fleming.

Mmm? Now I like CC's reports from Reserves games, but I also know that Jody has a good pair of eyes.

Which of them is more reliable, CC or Jody?

There's only one way to find out!!!

My sight isn't as good as it was (old age  ) so possibly Jody is correct (she's better looking than me as well  ). Whoever it was, it was a screamer!

My sight is rubbish too but, contrary to the team shown on the official web site and the one Ockers offered, I was certain that Rundle was scampering up and down the wing from the beginning.

Fleming showed some super touches and had a few blistering shots.
Haining was controlled and cool in defence.
Bentley was what you would expect, I think his bellowing put Carlisle off their stride.
Wainwright looked a cut above whenever he got the ball, worryingly he also stayed down for quite some time after a challenge...however, seeing as nobody bothered to come onto the pitch and give him attention he eventually got up and played on.
Walker showed a lot of determination to come for crosses, handled well and made one terrific one handed save, his kicking is wayward though.
Spencer took his goal well but doesn't contribute much if the ball isn't coming in his direction. Hendry ran his socks off, but that was about all he did.
Capaldi...hmmmm...when's his contract up?
It is great to see the young lads having a go, they are heart and soul players, sorry I can't put names to faces, but some are talented.

It was a good win and thoroughly deserved. But the cold...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
