Nice gesture. Question is, will it be powered by EDF energy?!

Nice one Neal , you have summed up our club in four words . I like that.

What a fantastic gesture ,well done to all involved.

At 8 square metres I wouldn't want to be lifting the numbers up onto the scoreboard up the side of Community building.

This is the news some of us have been waiting for, fantastic gesture and a great way to remember him by.

All credit to the club for keeping this quiet whilst everything was put into place.

It shows that the club is not resting on it's laurels but is striving to push forward improvements to the Globe.

Great stuff. A fitting tribute and well done to the Club in handling the situation in a dignified manner. On a lighter note we can now wish each other happy birthday in lights!

What an incentive for the 1st Morecambe player to score on Saturday. Shall we have a sweep?

Me too, the support we have had from the club has been fantastic. We are all looking forward to Saturday and hope the scoreboard has plenty of goals on it. Well on the Morecambe side of course.

Having known about it for a while it's great to see it's finally happened at last. It must have been an imaginably horrendous time for Chris's family but I'm sure they've taken enormous comfort from the warmth of his friends, his fellow Morecambe supporters and his colleagues at Heysham power stations. The scoreboard and the huge donation to Help for Heroes is a fantastic tribute to Chris.

The best thing for me about Morecambe FC has always been the warmth and generosity of spirit across the club from the ordinary terrace spectator to the board of directors. It's one thing that we should never lose and tragic as it may be the loss of Chris serves as a reminder of the importance of community, of friendship and our ability to help our fellow man.

I'm gutted I can't be there on Saturday but I'm sure it will be another very special day at Morecambe FC for everyone.
