Southport v Sheffield Wednesday on ITV

Just shown a bit of the ground etc. Why do I only remember being freezing cold at Haig Avenue?

Despite our friendly Wednesday fan on here, I'm cheering Mellow's lot on today... come on the 'port... never expected to be saying that!

So how did that work out then?

Hmm, a Wednesday elbow in the face isn't a free-kick? So while the Southport captain is off the pitch while they try to stop his face bleeding, Wednesday restart with a throw in and score against the ten men and the commentary team don't even mention it. He led with his elbow, even if not intentional (ie red card) it is still dangerous play.

Not only was it cold Keith, it always bloody rained. I remember a mid week night at Haig Ave that Scouseport felt so sorry for us they opened a part of the main stand and allowed us in.

Maybe I'm wrong but didn't we have that Southport striker Chris Simm on trial for us pre-season? Seem to remember him playing at Kendal.
