I've just called the Police press office to try and find out what's happened. I'll try and keep you posted.

To stop the rumours.... this is what's happened.

At around 4.50 this afternoon, a 43 year old man was stabbed on the prom area near to Megazone.

He is in the RLI in a serious condition. Nobody's dead.

A 39 year old man is in custody, and Police are appealing for information - any information to 08451 253545 or anonymous to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The road closures will remain in place for a while yet while Police do what they have to do.

NOTE - Be careful guys about naming places where you've heard things may or may not have happened - you could land the message board and yourselves in trouble.
