losing the faith

the critisism on here is very mild, as is the abuse that was mentioned on another post, opinions are however shifting at the moment because of results and the way some fans feel they are being treat by the club and management, we won t go up or down this year which is good, and over time if people dont like whats on offer they will stop coming, I won't, but its down to personal choice, I do think though, sammy should keep his tongue in check regarding the customers, as they pay his wages.

:? :? :? I can't wait for us to push up the league as per then you can all eat your words and stop moaning and putting unneeded pressure on the management. Sammy knows what he is doing and will turn it around as usual, any club in this division would be lucky to have him. The only thing i'm doubting is the meaning of the word 'supporter' in this thread. YEAH WOW.

I am feeling very optimistic about tomorrow night, something in the ether has changed and we are going to play like a team possessed.

Frequently new grounds seem to knock a lot of regular supporters about for a while. It seems that singers are split up and the atmosphere can be difficult to regenerate, whereas I think that the Globe has a commendable atmosphere now that a few folk are giving it some verbal wellie in the PMG stand. The acoustics for the away fans are just a little bit too good though, sometimes they sound very powerful, maybe we need a more absorbent cladding inside their stand.

Everything crossed that Sammy can get the lads to play with passion and help brew up an intimidating atmosphere for Stockport. They have some very gobby fans who will rise to the bait but we can outsing them if we all make an effort.

Keeping the faith.

IMO, a paying supporter who spends their hard earned money on watching the team and following them up and down the country deserves an opinion and can voice it if they wish.

I have never felt so low in the 21 years i have been watching Morecambe, No doubt I will be told to get a grip and get behind the lads but I just don't enjoy watching Morecambe anymore.
We play with one man upfront, the fans hate and it does not work( only won 3 games )
but we are told that the lads enjoy playing that system. FFS Sammy it's your job to win games.
Stockport lost 5-0 at home to the bottom club today.
4-4-2 and we win, it simple but if we play with one man upfront and fail to win then we know that we have a team that is not good enough or we have a manager that is not good enough.
you decide :(

i dont think its time to get the locoshed book out again just yet hodgie but i think enough people including myself respect your views from someone i'd call a diehard
id love to see us playing with two strikers in any game working as a pair but we havent seen that on a consistent basis in a very long time have we?
whatever side is put out tomorrow night im keeping everything crossed we get a win
hopefully everyone can play their part and get behind th elads we want to ge tthem going not get on their backs
going bottom would be a real setback me thinks considering we would be a third of the way through the season
i just hope everything clicks tomorrow for everyone concerned but appreciate your post
we need a scooby chant to get them all going tomorrow night

I will be going to the football on the train this saturday and I hope to see this on the way back

Sammy if you are reading these comments please note when balls are being played into the box if you play two center forwards it doubles your chances of scoring goals ;)

and fans find that exciting :P

Not if you have Duffy and Rundle plus Wilson who can put the ball into the box

Well yeh it still reduces your chances of getting the ball in the box because you have less in midfield to win/pass/cross the ball in.

to be fair to hodgie, tonight was hardly a yardsitck, fantastic 3 points against stockport but they are obviously in meltdown, do not think us or hairyfud will win 5 nil again this year.

totally agree, hope the 442 with jimbo back in continues and prospers, as i am sure, hodgie does, but the manager may think differently :?:

Parrish will undoubtedly return on Saturday. The only question is who for. Does he put Parrish at right back instead of Hunter or does he return to centre back and if so, with whom? My guess? Jim Bentley will return to the bench.

Jimbos return to the team has seen us win 3 out of 4? He's also put in a solid display tonight and scored a trademark header! I'd love to see him kept in the side! Maybe try Parrish at RB, its FA Cup and we've nothing to loose if it doesnt work out (except the money of course)

Parish in for McCready, Wainwright for Brown and you'll have arguably the best balanced side and a bench full of new signings :P. Then again we don't see the players day in and day out and Jevons loved playing as a lone striker early in the season and Mullin just loved to have nobody to get onto his nod downs when he endured the lone striker mantle.
There will be days when Drummy and Stanners get swamped in midfield and Bents can get caught out at the back but I reckon we'll score more than concede with last seasons players and be a lot more entertaining.

i would for the return of a specialist defender in Parrish and to accommodate Bentley McCready Wilson all in a back four

i think Hunter as done well but he as been lucky to get away with a fair few mistakes in recent matches since his stint at right-back
