From the BBC Travel news site wrote:M6 Lancashire, northbound at M61 [M6 junction 30]

M6 Lancashire - M6 lane closed on entry slip road from M61, two lanes closed, queueing traffic and long delays northbound at J30, M61 (Blacow Interchange), because of a shed load of cooking oil. Matrix sign set to 30 mph. Tra.. morevel time is at least 30 minutes. Congestion on M61 to J9, M65 (Clayton Brook) and to J29, M65 (Lostock Hall).

They were still mopping that stuff up at 2a.m. as we drove past Sunday morning. The shed load used up about 2800 traffic cones
