0-8 Penalties

0-8 Penalties

What is our problem with conceding penalties? We are clearly doing something wrong and are not learning. 7 penalties gave against us and one for us and we missed that so thats 8-0 not in our favour. And there was once where it should have been another pen against us but we got let off.

8-1 Shrewsbury miss. But yes, I agree with you.

Desparate measures in a poor defence overall maybe

Managers do their homework and realise we don't like being run at in our own box. At the other end it is totally the other way round - if there's nobody running into the box then you won't get a penalty! - simples. Fleming did it for the first few games but now he's stopped. Ps I have been out of the country and have missed all this crap on here

Yeah bog off and watch Chelsea seeing we are not good enough for you

"twiteracy" sums it up very well both on and off the pitch

At least u18's beat Hull on pens and it was a penalty shout that created draw. Morecambe had a pen shout disregarded but the Hull defender thought it was going (or had) been given so punted it into his own net in frustration

Just watching Carroll cause mayhem. Just gets the ball and runs at the opposition and in to their box. Sometimes scores, sometimes gets pens, sometimes get free kicks. Exactly what we need. And what happens against us. RUN AT THEM TO THE BOX!!

I think anyone would be scared if you had a person who is on trial for assault running at you, i'd gladly concede a penalty!

As I said last week:

Keith wrote:I said 4-4-1-1 a few weeks ago and it was clearly such a ridiculous idea because no one responded to it! Oh, I also said Duffy as the player in 'the hole'.

Mullin is best with his back to goal winning the ball and laying it off. Duffy is tricky and will pick up those knock-downs if he's being played close enough. Let him pick those balls up and be running towards goal where he'll get a shot away or win a penalty. How many penalties have we had this season? Shrewsbury is the only one I can think of but I'm no statto, regardless, it isn't that many. But that's hardly surprising, we rarely have players in the opposition box to get one!

Mullin does a great job for us but he really needs some help and at the moment he's not getting it.

Fifth lowest goals scored in League Two.
Fifth worst defence in League Two.
Sixth from bottom.
