Cheltenham away. Rubbish

There won't be no fecking fog down here.....I expect we shall win by 4 or 5 goals.

2nd round is now a TRUE reality for Cheltenham Town FC......

The Abbey Business Stadium is a fortress. No disrespect towards Morecambe but we should be firm favourites for the encounter and more likely be too strong for you.

Weather will be perfect, no postponements.

How can Nerso say it will not be foggy?
Fact: November is known for fog.
Fact: Gloucestershire is a hotspot for FOG statistically.

I don't wish to think about a replay up there as it won't happen. The job will be completed 100% by the home side on the 6th November.

Yes...it's a sh1t draw but at least we are at home.

What are the likely prices for entry Nerso? Do we get a roof?

Could have been worse. About three hours to get there. Nice spot down in the Cotswolds. Nice shiny new away stand and of course its the magic of the FA Cup!

Lets take a good few hundred down, create an atmosphere and come back with a place in round 2. 8-)

It's hardly the most glamorous of ties is it? (With all due respect to you and your clan Nerso!!)

I was really hoping for a Non League team, away from home. Someone or somewhere we used to visit in years gone by but not been for ages. Somewhere like Fleetwood, Gateshead or maybe even Scouseport (them buggers got Sheff Wed. at home !!!!)

IF we had been drawn at home to a non-league side, good. Into Round 2.
IF we had been drawn away to a non-league side, good. Interesting place to visit, and still into Round 2.
IF we had been drawn at home to a League 2 side, then possibly  a win and into Round 2.
IF we had been drawn at home to a League 1 side, then more glamorous and still possibly :P a win and into Round 2.
IF we had been drawn away at a League 1 side, then at least a good day out at a "bigger" club, not expected to win, so the chance of a cup upset.
What have we got? Away at Cheltenham, a fair chance of defeat, not a big attendance, and a fairly long trip.

Where I predict we will get a good draw, bring 'em back up to Lancy for a cold, November, midweek replay, and enter into long debate about fog, frost and pitch covers !!

I wonder if the Globe will have a "frost " problem like Christie.
Remember the strip at the Christie Avenue end which took longer to un freeze, and famously caused postponements against Hereford and Shrewsbury?

Especially Shrewsbury, yes. Think it was Gary Peters the Shrews manager (ex North End boss) who was doing his utmost to get the ref to call it off, and succeeded.

Will be interesting to see whether they have covers for the Globe pitch or whether they will just see how it goes, but maybe it won't be as icy.It is nearer to the sea than Christie, isn't it?? Salt air and all that!

Quite possibly the worst draw we could have got.

Nice draws elsewhere Scouseport v Sheffield Wednesday and Fleetwood v Walsall. They'll both be well chuffed.
