An interesting article on the cost of strikers at Crewe and an eye opener for those on this forum who would like one of them at The Globe.

Only if we could afford within our budget and then possibly only one of them ....

This lad Hannah at Matlock Town looks a good prospect.

Scored 7 last Saturday, a hat-trick in midweek and another 2 yesterday.

Still, we said that about that lad from Retford and never followed him up, and young Mr Hendrie to some extent (even though we signed him) isn't getting a look in.

and if sammy thinks he's not ready for first team then why sign him on a 12 month contract and end up paying him for playing in the ressie's and then benefit some other club when his contract ends

bloody hell sammy wake up

Well Sammy signed him because he showed promise playing at a lower level, if he does the businesss in the reserves then he will get his chance in the first team and be offered a extension to his contract, cant really see a problem with that.

In defence of Sammy he's been to every Res game so far.

As for Hendrie, he needs to shine in the Res to warrant a first team role. Looks to me as though he's a bit short on confidence that will definately come when he starts hitting the goal trail again as he was used to.

Don't know much about the lad from Matlock other then this link http://www.matlocktownfc.co.uk/index.htm

but I suspect that there could be somebody on the managers radar ..... ;)
