There is now only one body which is still missing. Can't believe a body part has been found six years after the tragedy.

This story has just reminded me of the most disturbing incident I have witnessed as a Morecambe fan. I may be wrong as my memory isn't great but wasn't it Stevenage fans who chanted some sickening songs (related to the cockle picking disaster) during a fixture against us at CP. It might have been an FA Trophy game but i'm not sure.

I've heard a few opposition fans sing about it at CP a few times unfortunately.
"Town full of Cockle Pickers, you're just a town ......." and all that sh*te.

I also had the misfortune to attend a concert at The Dome shortly after the tragedy by Punk "band" (loosely speaking) The Towers Of London (I was on a free ticket I hasten to add) and their nob head frontman Donny Tourrette (he of Celebrity Big Brother "fame") referred to the tragedy a couple of times, in a taking the pi$$ manner. Idiot.

Sign of the times.
If they weren't there it wouldn't have happened, not their fault but c'est la vie.
There's worse going on around the world that we don't hear of.
Anyone watch Unreported World on Channel 4 this week?

Heard it at a few places and on message boards.

It's one of those things some 'think' they can make jokes about without anyone getting upset.

Even had one of our 'own fans' (not seen much of him recently, skinhead bloke who wore combats and Docs) having a laugh about it all at an away game until me and Pete Johnson collared him (well Pete was about to properly collar him, being an ex-lifeboatman, I tried to explain why we didn't find it funny).

After a bit of bravado he apologised, as do most if you get the chance to bring them to their senses.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Hmm, wonder who that could be?

I heard it this morning on the news. It said that the skull was found in July, why has it only been reported now? Or was that the news getting it wrong?

I've heard the insults outside of football too, unfortunately the incident put our small town on the map for a while and when asked where i was from in the past it sparked up a few comments by a few small minded folk!
