The X Factor 12

Only ever used to watch it for the really useless ones at the auditions but, since the two youngest daughters have got into it in recent years it's been a case of 'if you can't beat 'em, join em' and I've got to quite like it.

Big mistakes for me this year were Cheryl picking the blonde girl instead of Gamu and Simon putting the FYD band (pretty ordinary) in instead of Diva Fever who would have been a scream in the finals (Louis would have put them through).

All the others we predicted at home and I think they're decent.

First ones out will be FYD and John, I reckon.

I'd be surprised if the winner doesn't come from my shortlist of: The girl group, the very young boy band (that's where my money's going, they'll get votes by the bucketful), the kid Aiden from Blackpool, Matt (my favourite) or...... watch out for Big Mary!

Storm's very good but not likeable, ditto the Italian who's in love with himself (he may go out very early as well).
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

If this thread goes pear shaped, will someone let me know? Ditto any threads that may start about Big Brother, I'm a Celebrity or that bloke off morning TV where stupid people shout at each other. Or indeed, any others with 'B' list celebrities or 'C' list celebrity wannabies. Thanks.

My initial thought in bootcamp was that Matt had the best voice and tipped him to win. Now that he's got through to the finals, I'm sticking with him!!! Some strange decisions last night as I think Storm and the Italian lad will be fighting it out for the most irritating/hated individual on the show this year... we'll see!

I too have never watched this programme after the initial looney stage, (shows the state of the tele we are now offered at a weekend...) but...
Have to say it's Rebecca Ferguson for me, she has a voice that I would actually 'enjoy' listening to.

This weekend's X Factor was brilliant. I enjoy taking the p!ss out of it at home where there's 2 dedicated followers. Oh what fun I had with the leaked list of the final 12 which was 100% correct.

Two out of Wagner, Paije and John out next (or maybe even the girl band if they don't do better than this week). Katie will rally a bit and stay for a few more weeks yet. Glad to see the Divas back in it, they'll get to the final few, I reckon!

Still like Matt and Aiden but reckon One Direction and Big Mary are favourites and worth some money, depending on the odds.

Has Gamu been deported yet? She could have a crack at a John Denver classic for her next number; leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again. Number 1 for sure, perhaps that could recoup all the benefits her family has sponged off the state?

I don't think Katie is particularly hot and Paije has no chance of winning. He may even go out next week.

Aiden and Matt are my personal favourites to listen to but I think the boy band and Mary will get lots of votes.

Oh absolutely but it's bo-bo time at weekends and the girls get very nice and cuddly. It's one of the few times they'll sit in one place for more than five minutes. I'm making the most of it.

Yeah, he's pretty impressive Darren.

Rest of them prior to him have been pretty crap tbh. That lass who was compared to Tina Turner had one hellauva voice.
