Other then the wembley winner, which other Morecambe goal has sent you bannanas.
for me it would be
1. young Kennys goal against Emley in the F.A cup.
2. Twissy puts us 2-1 up against Hull
3 Wayne Hatswell puts through his own net

Tommo away at Chesteerfield. Last minute winner, think it was 2001. One of my favourite ever games.

The two extra time goals vs Wolves with the gypsy in the box behind us!

Rene Howe vs Bradford.

Artell vs Crewe

Baker vs Peterborough

Celi vs Dagenham, 2nd leg.

Peter Thompson overhead kick vs Dagenham

^^^ ^^^

I agree with Twiss putting us 2-1 up at Hull - Quality of the goal was top class.

Going 1-0 up at Accrington last season - Surreal

Wayne Curtis penalty at Hereford in the play offs - After a poor first leg I lost belief but this goal restored that belief

Also agree with Rene Howe v Bradford, the North Stand went crazy!

how about the own goal on a new years home fixture with accy a few years back? we'd played awful and not had a shot on goal, and they scored an own goal towards the end that was totally undeserved. brilliant.

also wayne's third time lucky goal again york in the play off semi, a couple of almost cheers before a crucial goal and we could finally go mental!

neither goal was particularly spectacular but the circumstances made for a big celebration (as far as i can remember, certainly memorable!)

Artell v Crewe - Ive never really felt like that after a game before, such an amazing last 6 minutes.

Artell v Shrews - Another one, one of my favourite away days! Especially after they missed the penalty minutes before?

Howe v Bradford

1.The Wembley winner, in my opinon the most important goal scored for the club so far.

2.Artell's winner against Crewe, really lifted the team for the final push for the playoffs, made even better to see the look on Clayton Donaldson's face, he had spent half the match deliberately showing the North Stand his arse and his daft orange cycling shorts. I think he sat on the pitch for about 2 mins afterwards in disbelief.

3. Moss's volley against the Daggers cracking finish.

4. Howe's stike past the Bratfud lot, always pleasant to score past them  i was stood right in line with the ball in the north stand and watched it ping in off the post.

Was that the game where they battered us all game, Carl Baker was on fire and they seemed to hit the post or bar every 4 minutes? Amazing game. I miss Yatesy.

Apart from that, Twiss versus Hull, Artell versus Shrewsbury, Artell versus Crewe, Artell versus Preston.

First season in the football league away to Peterborough - the first away football league match for me also and Thommo scores in the 83rd Minute to make it 1 deserved 1-1 draw - that will do for me. Blackie

SIX Goals in the 1993/94 season.

TWO in the FA Trophy v. Southport in a 2-1 win ("Who put the ball in the Southport net? Super Jim McCluskie!!!)

FOUR in the Lancashire ATS Trophy Final v. Southport at Burnden Park Bolton.

Never as much for all SIX goals have Morecambe fans gone beserk as much as when these beauties hit the back of the onion bag.

And an even better thing about them all ? We were Northern Premier League. Southport were flying high in the Conference. And ........... all SIX goals were sent flying past hapless (and lets face it, hopeless) ex Morecambe 'keeper ......... Paul "Teflon Gloves" Moore.

The goal that got us to wembley:

Curtis shoots: saved
Shoots: saved
Chips it over the keeper......ball floats for seems like 2-3minutes and yet no defender manages to stop it.
Balls hits the nets: christie park nearly collapses!!
Get over it ;)

Two incidents I have just thought of where we have gone mental, but then had our celebrations cut short due to an inept Linesman:

Last Tuesday night against Bury when we thought we had drawn level at 2-2 only to be cruelly flagged as offside mid celebration

Tommy Millers goal that never was against Hull City in 1991 in the FA Cup. The whole ground saw it had crossed the line, even the Hull City fans at the opposite end of the ground saw it had crossed the line. Photograhic evidence proved it had. The linesman said it hadn't. Again, pure hysteria cut cruely short.

Margate away in the F.a Trophy.

John Norman came on as sub and scored from a free kick to put us through to the semis

Who remember's THIS one ??? I know Freez will !!! I still recall it like it was yesterday !!!

1993/94 season away at Barrow. Our biggest rivals. Scores are level at 1-1 with about a minute to play. Morecambe (attacking the Barrovian home fans end, the then covered Holker Street End) win a corner. Over comes the corner, and up leaps Ollie Parillon, literally head and shoulders above the rest (to this day, I have NEVER seen anyone jump as high). Top corner, 2-1 win for Morecambe. Around 50 Shrimps fans go absolutely crazy. Around 1200 Barrovians eff and jeff and curse and spit.

Unbelievably brilliant night was that !!!!!!!
