So the conclusion is the 12 million spent along with all the planning and hard work has made a balance of 3 people happy.4 Mill per person must be a bargain

The problem if you were in that end regularly, is the setting sun shining right in your eyes.

Perhaps a game could be identified where the stand is closed to away fans, as it was for Barnet, but opened up to Morecambe fans, so that if people want to view from there they can?

BRS is closed again this Saturday it dissapionted to be honest I can see the reasons for doing it but would like to think they would let Morecambe fans in there so we don't have one empty stand behind the goal.

Agreed. The MBW is the only part of the Globe which is inferior to CP.

Shame for the Stevenage fans not to be given a choice between standing and sitting, although I'm sure our stewards will let them stand in the sitting section (or at least I hope so)! The decision makes sense for the club though, less stands = less stewards + higher entrance fee for away fans going into main stand.

The stand or the facilities? As a stand I really like it. The way it is raised means even if you're at the front you should still get a decent view. I would even go as far as saying I prefer it to the MBW stand (shallow steps, low roof, not as high as the old north stand etc.).

Not for me. Before the days of segregation I enjoyed going into the 'away end' when we were shooting that way, however the view was awful.

Well, may I ask what you were expecting to see out of a football terrace? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeasts swinging majestically across the planes of the serengeti?

Someone's had a bad day ;)

Was only saying I disagree that the Umbro stand was better than our new away end. The North Stand had a great view but the view from the Umbro was similar to that of the MBW.

It was before my time, however I have watched most of the episodes (not that there was many!). I feel disappointed that I didn't pick up on the reference :(

The poll will be closing on Monday evening so vote now! Christie Park is winning at the moment with 55% of the votes. Does anyone have any suggestions for the next poll? Post them here or you can e-mail them to morecambe@vitalfootball.co.uk
Thanks.

What one of Stevenage fans think. I think it is a fair assessment. Am glad they did not experience the 3-foot wide walkway though!

What did you all think of the Ground?

I must say that first impressions were fantastic, as you approach the ground the main stand from the outside looks very good.

Once inside whilst the ground was tidy enough and smart it did seem a little lacking something.

The main stand was ok, the boxes at the back looked very smart. The stands at each end looked a little small.

The small terrace that run most of the length of the otherside I think made the ground look unfinished, maybe if a larger stand the other side had been in place it would have looked better. Maybe run out of money and they will develop that side.

They need to sort out the mens toilets. So small, we only had a few fans and my sheds bigger than them!

Pies are as good as they were!

The outside training pitches and space for cars awas well planned.

I am not saying that its a bad ground, just i expected something a little more. Looked like a good conference ground than a league one.

Missed the banter we used to have with their fans at the old ground!

As for the game, i really did not enjoy it at all. The game never really got going for either side and was not helped by a lack of atmosprehere, the home fans were very quiet. Maybe it was a one-off and the home fans are normally better.
