PHEW!

Glad to get that first win, hopefully we'll kick on now we've got the monkey off our back.

Couple of winnable games coming up with Barnet & Bury.

Massive win. Well done boys! :D

Lets start with a positive line-up against Barnet. Mullin & Spencer upfront after this performance?

4-6 points in the next two and we will be comfortably in mid-table...

Good win lads! It's a relief to be off the bottom, even if it is the start of the season still.

Good performance today, could have gone either way but nice to win one of these games, they usually go against us, especially this season! Duffy and Parrish were superb second half, we almost gave us on the left hand side and concentrated to tearing them apart down the right. Parrish has reached the level where you almost wish we had two of him, to play at center back and right back, and that was the best I have seen Duffy play in the second half, tormented their left back and his cross for Mullin's goal is something worth waiting for.

A word about Mullin too, especially the bloke who shouted "he's shit, get him off". One goal, one assist (which was brilliant), not a bad return from the game. Won most things in the air today, led the line superbly and when Sammy made the subs early and went for the win - a tactical masterstroke, he and Spencer looked like a hell of a partnership.

Would still bring Stanners back, maybe for Brown, and Spencer for Shuker who was very lucky to stay on the pitch against a pedantic referee. Gowon the Shrimps!

Mullin gets so much stick but i think he is one of the most vital players in our team. I think people with some sence will agree with me..

totally agree.Fans make the mistake of looking at him and thinking he is too slow, and yes, he is not the quickest around, but he has a good football brain and brings others into the play.
Mullin on the teamsheet every time for me,will be interesting to see if Spencer loses out when Jevons is fit again.

People don't understand what Mullin is there to do, he chips in with a few goals but he is the outlet if we are under a lot of pressure, he holds the ball very well and makes good flick ons, wait till the Mullin - Jevons partnership is back; 40 goals anyone? ;)

Paul Mullin first name on the team sheet for me every week, hes vastly under valued by a lot of fans imho. I overheard a couple of accie fans last night saying they didn't want him back as it would be a backward step for them. I thought good he can stay with us a maybe grab a few more goals and with a bit of luck the winner against Stanley at there place

Probably the same guy from the other away games which stops us going that far

Mullin's problem is that a) he doesn't score 20 goals a season (which you need if you want to be promoted) b) His headers dont go anywher except to them when he would be better just trapping the ball in his chest and finally on his own he cant do a lot. So we need someone to partner him otherwise why play him?

Oh and to those saying he is the first name on the team sheet, absolute rubbish. He has done nothing recently to warrant that praise. People like Parrish, Roche, McCready and on recent form Duffy are much more important.
