The use of so as an emphatic intensifier. It first drew attention in positive statements such as that’s so last year, but is now just as commonly used with the negative particle, not, as in the statement that’s so not cool.

On our local news the other night a little old lady was being interviewed as a witness to a fire at a neighbour's house.
She said "It was terrible. I'd only just got back from where I'd been....!"

What about, when something has just been found broken, "well it was working yesterday" [or whenever]. Well, OBVIOUSLY it was working yesterday, otherwise it would have been broken yesterday! Things working before they break is kind of the definition of 'breaking'!

That part time Dagenham & Redbridge thug and full time dickhead Bob Crowe has just said "if we don't do nothing there will be a sustained attack on our terms and conditions". Doesn't that mean he's saying it's best that people don't strike and do do nothing?

A quid for the number of people who say "....anyfink", instead of "....anything". Would they spell anything 'anyfink', or would they spell anyfink wrong too!?

A quid for the number of people who say "I ain't got none!".
A sensible response would be "Good, so how many do you have?".

Furthermore, I'll have a pound please for me pocket for every time i see someone driving whilst using a hand held mobile phone ! It's against the law FFS !!!

And whilst I'm ranting about drivers, an extra pound please for every NOB who thinks they are well within their rights to jump red traffic lights. And not stop for people using zebra crossings.

Yep, I've just been out for my lunch break around Preston !!
