If I had a pound for every time Christies Child wrote 'loose' instead of 'lose' I would be 23 stone 4 pounds.

you'd have enough for that pint I owe you! Now mentioning being in Aldershot when Drummie scored that screamer then on the following Tuesday being one of about 25 who saw Gary Hunter's goal of the season three days later you'd be much richer (although that one doesn't work as well now that MarkS isn't reading the forum! ;) )

I don't think they are just talking about this week...
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

...people say "at this moment in time.."
Tick-tock, and now it's passed!

"How are you today?"......"Good thanks".
Wtf does good mean? Good is a mediocre word, and it means nowt, a bit like nice.

Any part of conversation with "...Guy's..." in it.
So dumbed down.

"...That's cool".
What does that mean?
Why not say "...tepid" or "...luke-warm"?
If you did it wouldn't be 'Cool' would it!?

Oh well if we're moving the subject in to phrases...

Any variation on the misuse of 'unique' such as "it's very unique", guaranteed to leave me 110% wound up!

Here's one for people who serve in bars or shops.

Next time anyone (usually students brought up on a diet of MTV) says: "Errrm, yeah, can I get a Magners/large latte/brie and grape baguette please?"..

..just say: "No sorry."

Then when they say: "Oh, why not?"

say: "because only staff are allowed behind the bar/counter."

Then, as they try to work out what the fuppin heck you're on about, interject with: "You can have one, with pleasure, but I'll have to get it for you."

If anything winds me up, it's when something is measured by a percentage greater than 100! Excuse me, but isn't that just illogical?
