So on Saturday, It's Southend Away

... The Mystery Begins

Offered to Morecambe fans for free,
Though some of you, may laugh, at me,
The first of many, rhymes to come
All to be read, some to be sung,
To muse for you, the bard on the bay,
In good time, to be revealed, one day!

And as we await our first league win,
For the promotion charge, soon to begin,
I ask you to look, at glories past,
You know we'll climb, this table fast,
And when May comes, our rivals will see,
Why Morecambe FC, is the place to be!

And so a song, to warm our hearts,
Castaway all dark thoughts,
Sung to a tune about a referee,
To some it will be plain to see,
but if it's not, please don't despair,
Like Football, not everything, in life is fair!

In the Past We, Won at Wembley,
Not Just One Win - Two from Two,
Perched on Cloud Nine, Such A Great Time,
Morecambe FC - We Love You!

That's Our History, We've Moved from Christie,
Globe Arena - Great to See,
Traveling Far and Wide, To Support our Side,
Morecambe FC - Proud to Be!

In the Future, How's This Suit Ya?
Promoted to - the Premiership,
What a Feeling, All Shrimps Believing,
Morecambe FC - Just Love It!

So farewell friends, though I'll return,
More rhymes to write, and songs to learn,
I'll leave you to wonder, who I am,
To wrack you brains, and scratch your spam
Until that day, when I remove my mask,
Just who, is the Bard, on the Bay, You'll Ask!

A promise of more, to create folklore..........

He did!
A pushbike and accessories. Sold for £100!
At around the same time he also won a Dollies season ticket! Ryan-Zico Black was the answer!!

The cleaners work is all in vain,
The sh*thouse poet strikes again.

So on Saturday, It's Southend Away

Postby Bard on the Bay » Sun Sep 12, 2010 8:32 am

Before I began, I thought long and hard,
Just what is the purpose of the Bard,
How would the rhymes be perceived,
If I was, but a fool, indeed,
But after a while, I thought I just don't care,
And I offered up my rhyming fare!

The guesses so far have shown to me,
That I might just conceal my identity,
'Cos for me it's a pleasure, to sit and think,
Compose my thoughts, over a hot drink,
And write stories about the great times I've seen,
The journey's I've made, the places I've been!

So a trip to Essex this weekend,
Our first league game, against Southend,
A long way to go for our traveling flock,
No doubt setting off, at silly o'clock
Shrimps versus Shrimpers, the losers concede,
The title of Best Trawler-men, in the League!

A salute & message to those that travel away,
Don't let the football, ruin your day,
This mantra I've heard many times before,
Spoken from wisdom of what might be in store,
So at Roots Hall, sing us to victory,
Get home safely, and bring back all three!

The bard shall return to these shores once more,
before a trip to Bradford, and at least a score draw,
Valley Parade can be a daunting sight,
Of what Bradford would term their obvious might
But we are the Morecambe, we just love to be,
The ones to spoil, the Bantams, Party!

Until next time, and more rhyming crime!

So now the board, it has a bard,
To guess identity could be quite hard,
Some people think it is CC,
I know 1 thing it isn't me.

Back to football, bad start to season,
I wonder why?, what's the reason
Is, it the formation, the sun, the coach,
Not sure but a big thanks to Mr Roach.

So that's me done, I've had enough,
We're bottom of the league, now thats tough,
But lets not panic, at how we've started.
(Phaaaarp) Is that a shit, phew I only farted.

I thank you

8-)

From Oz we get a witty ditty
Even tho it ended shitty,
The Bard is local of that I am sure
But how many legs 2, 3 or 4.

The start we have made
Is anyoing and slow,
But when the team clicks
Just watch us go.

Our new shinny home
Is the Globe Arena,
All that glass and steel
must be a mare for the cleaner.

So onwards and upwards
Next stop is Southend,
for us Shrimps we have Shrimpers
We need to befriend.
