The link's been zapped.
I can't find it anywhere, even from where I sourced it on moneysavingexpert.com
Marky1 must have just got there in time.

I looked at one of these. The price said £15ea for 2 people on the one's i looked at, with a big 'Book Now' button next to it. But when I pressed that button, the next page revealed that the price had mysteriously risen to £65!!! :o

I know it said there was a booking fee, but that was of £2, so where did the other £33 come from???

Maybe the button should have read 'Magical Calculator'...
HOWAY THE SHRIMPS!!!!!

On topic(ish) and proud!

The details are down the left-hand side of the opening page.
Based on 4 people, 4 x £15 = £60
Booking Fee = £2
Don't know where the other £3 comes from.

There'll also be a service charge to be paid direct to the holiday park.
So I reckon the botton line total for what you looked at will be around £78.
Not bad in my book.

Got my bill for add-ons from the Holiday Park (Haven) this morning:

(1) Entertainment passes x 4 - £36
(2) Daily utility charge 4 x £6.50) - £26
(3) Linen Charge - £14

On the Terms & Conditions (1) and (3) and optional.
But the bill I got this morning never mentioned optional, and they asked for the full wack of £76!
No chance. I've deducted £50.
Total cost of holiday - £86 + £2 booking fee.

Peter just a tip, with Haven you need the ents passes to use any of the stuff on camp, ie pools bars etc, I went to Primrose Vally last sumer with the kids, thought i could save a few bob and got some from ebay, but they were the wrong ones for that week, diff pics on them each week, so ended up paying twice, that was high season tho so gestapo might not be so enforcing when you go ;)

Are you really staying in Hastings for an away game at Aldershot?
You'd have been welcome to come and stay with me and Doris.

We're staying at Burnham-on-Sea.
Stayed before, the sea-front and town centre are only a 5 minute walk.
We won't be using any of the onsite facilities, just get a carry-out if we need to.
Thanks for the tip though.

I have got them down to 2 entertainment passes = £16.90 (can take 2 extra people if we wish)

Even tho the original terms & conditions say "gas & Electric included" they still want a "power charge" as you need pipes and wires to receive the free gas and electric!!

Linen as you say is £14 but you don't have to pay this if you take your own.

Total cost for our "Holidays from £10 p.p.p.n."

= £120 for our Luxury plus model! (for 3 nights on a Haven is still good value)

The entertainment passes are actually well worth the money for the entertainment, bar, swimming pool etc. If you are quite happy looking at the walls within your tin trailer you will be fine Peter!

Wakey Wakey - T&C's say that 'service charge' of at least £3.50 per night per unit includes gas and electric.
