Sounds quite scrappy, wind not helping and Moss having a bit of a nightmare against a good winger Roche just made a good save.

A well earned point with Barry Roche man of the match, a soft free kick given against us and we were unable to defend the free kick AGAIN, although we could have been 2 or 3 down at half time

it was a even game fair result we started with a 4 5 1

although we went 4 4 2 second half and looked more like scoring but then so did Gillingham and could have snatched all three points

it's a bit of a dilemma with this five man midfield with it's good points and bad points :?:

really need to sort out our problem right back position, today we were not in it until brought mullers on and we looked much better balanced, and after stanners scored thought we would get our 1st win but all afternoon we seemed to let them run at us and but for rochey would have lost by a mile.A hard earned point was probably fair but our poorest performance of the season

I'll quite happily play at rightback. Can't be any worse than Moss. It makles me cringe whenever the ball comes near him.

I thought we were abysmal for most of today, better when we went 442 but still not great.

They could have easily been 3-0 up at half time and we couldn't have complained.

Point stolen, but that has to be the end of the 451 system with Jevons on his own. Also, i thought Shuker was really poor.

'Even game'??? (we were lucky to be in it at all)
'could have fallen asleep'??? (can't agree with that)

Ground out a point, looked as though we could have stolen it until late on.

Moss was, as many have commented above, totally outclassed by their 11. Scotty quietened him down effectively in the second half. Sadly Shuker again, for me, was totally anonymous and ineffective. So two very good substitutions by Sammy. Good performances by Scott, the back 4, Flemming, Duffy (tried hard out of position), Stanners. Spencer came on for a few minutes and looked very sharp indeed.

Good, entertaining game.

On the balance of play Gillingham had more chances and it is fair to say that Barry Roache kept us in the game on a number of occasions. Gillingham looked like a good side to be fair. However their record is no better then ours so I can't help feeling a little disappointed that we've let the lead slip.

Moss really struggled against a good winger. Akinfenwa and his roundabout ass made a right nuisence of himself but i thought Parris and McCready stood up to the challenge really well, especially Parrish.

Duffy had a decent game and and delivered a good cross for the goal. Shuker was poor though and was either muscled off the ball of gave it away on a number of occasions.

The team as a whole looked heavy legged a lot of passes went astray so you could probably say that the midweek game may have taken it's toll.

The ref was atrocious at best, yet he seemed to bask in his own poor decisions, the worse the decision, the more he appeared to enjoy it!
The chap with me visiting from Reading made comment as to 'it was the worest ref he had seen in a lot of years'

And why was he wearing white soled trainers (or slippers as the chap behind said)? Did he think it was astro-turf?

Ohh, have I committed a faux pas?

It was merely an observation followed by lazy speculation.
