O/T trumacar field

O/T trumacar field

just had a walk up heysham and noticed the field across from trumacar school is fenced off, spent many a happy hour playing footy on there in my youth
it's going to be houses is it :(

living near there as a kid i filtered between playing there and peel ave

Used to love going to Freds chippy after playing there on a Friday night. pennorth o chips with scraps.

my family had the shop next to the chippy on peel ave

The good news is that it is going to be used for football again. Even better, kids football. I understand it is fenced off to enable a clear up operation of needles and other undesirable items that got it condemned in the first place before it is passed fit for kids football again. If you have a look the grass has been cut and work is well underway. :D

used to go to trumacar school and often played football on it for them,went there from 1954 to 1960

You are right Harry it is going to be used for kids football. Local youth team Morecambe Hawks are to use it.
