Postby Posh » Thu Aug 26, 2010 12:16 pm

OK loads of talk now its time for action!

First of all sign the petition NOW.

http://www.petitiononline.com/mfc1/petition.html

Secondly let's get some high profile backing for the campaign. I've got the Campaign for Real Gravy to back our gravy battle and they've immediately put a news article on the front page of their website. www.realgravy.co.uk.

So what are you going to do?

Gravy vote in! All we need now is a C.O.A that the pies it's going to be drizzled over are the same 'POTTS' so lovingly enjoyed by the masses as the 'BEST pie in the whole of Football :o

Can't believe there's only 64!!!

I told Chef today that lots of peole were unhappy at there being no gravy. He wasn't aware of the wave of feeling this subject stirs up in football fans stomachs. (He thought it was just me being a grumpy git, when I "mentioned" :o it last week) :D

Wait out. ;)

Actually Keith, for the great majority of people, if you're not taking at least a 20 minute break within every 6 hours of "working" then you are breaking European law. Working Time Directive.

You are?

nah, "they are".

Fortunately such things will never catch on over here!    Seriously, not being in the EU means we don't have Working Time Directive etc.

Pie peas nd gravy were the main reason for turning up early at CP :) I just can't eat a pie with nowt on it  signed on the dotted line.

My eldest son is President of the Pi(Pie) Society at Uni...maybe he can drum up a lot of support, he was at the Globe on Tuesday and was shocked that the pies were being served naked.

I'm sure the "Northern boys love gravy" motto on Soccer AM would like this kind of story.

Hereford United fans are claiming that our loss of gravy and peas means their Hereford Beef and Onion pie is now the best pie in English League football!

Get the gravy back!

Just to show that there's always a conection between threads to be found, I had a look at who had signed the petition, and to my suprise Mr John Lambert ( the guy complaining about the noise in the paper) has signed it and included the following public comments:

63. John Lambert: Please bring gravy to the pesky Globe Arena. If more fans fill there gobs with gravy it can only help to cut down the bad language. Whilst your at it pour some gravy over that dam PA amplifier , save a little for that twat of a drummer and smear the rest over those god dam floodlights.

says more about the him that it does about us.
