Size of the pitch

Does anyone know the size of he Globe pitch, im sure its smaller than what was at Christie Park, iv lost count of the times Barry has reached the opponents keeper with his kicks ???

I thought pitch sizes were standardized 2 or three years ago, 105 metres long x 68 metres wide, might be wrong though, that could have just been for internationals

I thought it was "no longer than XXX and no shorter than XXX" (ie there were maximum and minimum lengths and widths but you were allowed leeway between those.)

Im sure there is a minimum and maximum size.

I think we made it smaller because then we can play in on the floor, it makes it harder for teams that play kick and go, home advantage will eventually count!

I thought it was exactly the same size as the pitch at Christie Park, whatever that was!

I got the impression on tuesday that it was wider, but usually having been in the North Stand at Chrustie the different angle could have been deceptive.

there is a minimum and maximum for both length and width of the pitch. The goals and penalty boxes are a set size, and find it a useful gauge seeing the distance from the 18yard line to the touchline. You can tell how wide the home side like to play the ball from that distance.

Christie Park was 118 x 76 yards which fits into the criteria of a football pitch. Would be interesting watching a game on a 50 yard wide pitch

From what I can gather Maine Rd Manchester was the largest over here at 117 x 80.

The smallest being Halifax and Swansea at110 x 70
