But the difference with Footballers are that they are worth more than the average person. Football is a different entity. I can write a notice tomorrow and leave my job in two weeks. Mr Ronaldo isn't in the same position. neither is Joey Barton.

I was being a bit facetious earlier. Lee Hughes and Jimmy Kelly did their time for non-football related offences and, having done their time, whether enough or not, they deserve a second chance. Barton though has assaulted colleagues in the workplace on more than one occasion. If Newcastle United was Newcastle City Council he wouldn't get near the front door, and I think Newcastle United have an obligation to the rest of their employees and their customers to make sure he doesn't play for them again.

And if .... he should decide to knock 7 bells out of a young apprentice ...which could happen ? [Has anybody seen the footage of what he did in L'Pool city centre] Then would his employers have some responsibility ?

Keegan said in a statement.
"It's my opinion that a manager must have the right to manage and that clubs should not impose upon any manager any player that he does not want."

From BBC sport/football.

I quite agree Kevin and all the best.... I doubt you'll see KK back in Football management ... the only thing I didn't agree with him on was the Joey Barton situation , BUT I wonder now if he was told Joey Barton was there to stay until he could be sold.

Lets play guess the attendance for their next game:-

I am going for 33,000 as a few will boycot but others will still keep going to support the players.

I wouldn't like to be Mr Ashley and I don't even think Wise will be safe all the way down there in Hertfordshire.

KK obviously needs a handout to do his Xmas shopping

"Rudd Gullit who was much malighed at Newcastle, walked away without demanding a penny. Keegan who swears blind he loves the club wants eight million quid!"
