GLOBE Phase 2

GLOBE Phase 2

Postby Ntini » Wed Aug 11, 2010 2:30 pm

I was thinking last night, on my drive back to the North East, that I remembered there was mention of a phase 2.

I know last night was a lot to take in with the new surroundings, but I just wondered if anyone could remember what it involved and when it fits into the grand scheme of things.

I remember there being the hotel and fast food restaurant being granted planning permission out front, but that's all I could muster among the cobwebs!!!

There is the land either side of Christie Way, which I'd guess the club could develop or sell as land with outline planning permission. I'm sure the club wanted to get the opening and a bit of bedding doen out of the way before making a decision.

What's more intriguing is what will happen to the pocket of land between the railway line and the club's land. To develop it would mean getting access via the club's land. Another opportunity potentially?

I think the worldwide slump will have put things on hold, but a major fast food outlet will probably appear at some point, and maybe a diy store

How much would it cost me to buy a Burger King franchise there?

William mitchell had a board advertising a quid for a bacon bap on tuesday and looked busy, think the globe will quickly realise dads with kids will stop off there foe one of them as opposed to 2.75 for a hotdog, this is not negativity, i am helping with the teething problems

The William Mitchell had a big board out saying "last pub before the football ground"

The Park Hotel looked busy on Tuesday too and so was the Takeaway on the opposite corner.

good :!: :!:

without sounding negative, I would have my dinner there every saturday if they could match the toby, I would put a bit behind the bar, and give my son money for stuff :?:

I am buying a season ticket anyway, but where we eat and drink beforehand is up to the club :?:
