Bradford v Nottingham Forest. former European Champions and probably the most attractive home tie available in round 1 att 5,175

Shrewsbury 4 Charlton 3 att 3,700

Morecambe 2 Coventry City 0 att 4,002

our crowd was very decent in comparison with a massive club like Bradford.

It was the first match, though. It will probably drop by 1,500 on Saturday.

I think ours on Saturday will be between 3,000 and 3,500

my point was that when everyone pays cash and the bogus free season ticket holders who are usually included in Bradfords attendances are not counted then the differential in gates is not so great especially when you consider the total populations of Bradford and Morecambe.

I believe if you add a season ticket allocation (sold or unsold) of 8000 to the first attendance mentioned you get an imaginary number close to that of Bradford's attendance last season.... hmmm...
