Wycombe predictions

Postby Blackpool Shrimp » Wed Aug 04, 2010 3:03 am

I would love a win to get us up and running but as its first game I am sitting on the fence and going for 2-2 (jevons with both goals)

I'll settle for a narrow win!

To be honest, I really couldn't predict this, it could be anything from 4-0 to 0-4 and anything in between and not surprise me. Wycombe are among the favourites to go up but I'm not convinced. Our pre-season has been an odd one but apparently the lads have gelled and are ready. I hope we start the league season the way we ended the last league season, looking to win every game rather than going to Wycombe looking for a point.

So how did that work out then?

I did suggest that but as this is a family board I can't put down what SHMBO said :o , but as she's a red headed Glaswegian I'm sure you can guess :? :? :?

wycombe 0-3 Morecambe

followed by a 1-0 win on tuesday and a 2-0 against Rotherham to see us into the next round of the league cup against premiership opposition and the early leaders of league 2.

right that's it, too much optimism, I can't do this anymore, I'm off to get whacked at the quiz in the D&P :(

It's very difficult to predict given it's the very first match but I do think it's unlikely to finish 0-0 given they have been scoring for fun in pre-season and scoring was one of our strengths last season. My guess is a Wycombe win of some description.
