Stuart Hendrie Signs

just a question on if he has step up to this level.

Thats the gamble. ;)

Jermaine Beckford was a non-league player only a few years ago, now he's reached the top tier . So if we've got him , lets see what he can do , after a few wks it could be , Spencer and Hendrie up front and Jevo and Mullin warming the bench with Stanley , Bentley , Hunter and Duffy. :o

Correct. Which is why I have been astounded that despite being asked really nicely not to, some people have still felt the need to mention a certain performance. I couldnt tell whether it was arrogance or just pure selfishness.

Is that directed at me Mark ? Maybe behind closed doors is the future then if we're not allowed to discuss potential signings

Not at all Mr Paranoid! I was agreeing with your point.

Potential sigings are fair game once they have played in the public domain. I was referring to a closed game a couple of weeks ago that despite a request from the management not to mention one individuals performance, one or two either felt above it or just decided to ignore it, whatever the effect.

Oh, right, err, ok then, sorry about that, my doctor diagnosed me with paranoia years ago, I just ignored him, he's always had it in for me. ;)

So is Hendrie actually any good? A lot of people seem excited but I havn't heard anything about him before today. What type of striker is he? Assume he'll be back-up/impact sub?
Get over it ;)

If he has signed its a great bit of business for me. Saw the lad play against Kendal and he looked a real prospect and took his goal well. Obviously Jevo and Mullin will be first choice and the two young lads as back ups. We'll struggle to get a decent experienced striker who's going to be happy to sit on the bench so this seems to be the way to go.

It sounds like we are investing in potential for the future with this signing. Whether he can cut it in the FL is another matter to be revealed, but when you see some of the gems who do come through from non league, added to the fact that no transfer fee was involved, then he's got to be worth a punt.

It sounds like he has bags of pace which is what we have lacked sometimes so fingers crossed we have a good un'.

3 goals vs Wrexham and 1 vs Kendal is enough for me, apparently is abit pacey so must be worth a try?
