3 points for a win.
1 point for a draw.
1 point for each goal scored.

That'd encourage attacking football.
And reward teams that lost, but scored (and the more the better) in the process.

No offence, but that is a bit rubbish. Teams could let in 30 goals to get teams relegated or promoted, it would be open to abuse.

And at the moment a goalie or defender can easily throw a game by the odd goal.
Bollox to your rubbish ;)

Nah, wouldn't work, it's just mad talk. Bit like the new scoring in F1, no-one likes that either.

I think:

3 points for a win
1 point for a draw
1 Bonus point for scoring 3 or more goals

That would be more fair and a real incentive to kill teams off for the extra point rather than sitting on a 1-0 lead

Or we could Just Leave foootball as it is... Just a thought :)

That was Barbara Windsor tho wasn't it?

With a bonus point for scoring 3 goals at least we would have got 2 points instead of 3. Although hang on a minute it would have been just as bad cos we would have had 4 points instead of 3 when we drew 3.3 with Rochdale :?
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

The original idea was just mad anyway. One team wins three games all by 1-0 and gets 12 points ( 3 x 3 for the win & 3 x 1 for each of the goals). Another team loses three games all 5-4, but also gets 12 points for scoring 12 goals - utter madness !!!

The team that wins 1-0 should have worked a bit harder then
Don't forget either that the team that lost 1-0 will have got Nil points, so they should have pulled their socks up too.
What about the team that won 5-4? That's 8 points! Chelsea would have got nearly 400 points last season
And there's the teams who've been docked points through Administration. They'll have more chance of playing catch-up with a few big wins.
Utter madness - be blowed.
Utter brilliance, and everyone will be claiming that they thought of it first ;)
