Songs for next season.

Songs for next season.

Postby Matty the Shrimp » Thu Jul 29, 2010 2:52 pm

As the first game at the Globe looms upon us, I think we need some songs for the new signings, and maybe even one for the Globe, any ideas?

P.s i won't be singing as i will clear out the home stand within minutes

I'll get the ball rolling,

Basically James Cordan and Dizzee Rascal - shout. But you put Morecambe in

Shout, Shout, let it all out,
Come on Morecambe
These are the things I could do without,
Come on,
I’m talking to you - come on,
Come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough!
Ay oh, ay oh, ay oh, ay oh
And all the people sing
Ay oh, ay oh, ay oh, ay oh
Come on Morecambe!!!
Bring me sunshine...

How about 'It's fleming' to the tune of 'jamming' by Bob Marley? ;)

Adam Rundle, Morecambes' goal machine!

Needs abit of tweaking methinks.

What about Eminem's Not Afraid.

I'm not afraid , I'm not afraid
To take a stand, to take a stand
Everybody, everybody
Come take my hand, come take my hand

We'll walk this route together through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm
Just lettin' you know that you're not alone

Similar to Twist and Shout in terms of repetition just at a faster tempo. I think this could work and would sound awesome. Would also be an achievement to have a chant that isn't used by any other club.

Perhaps if you'd put a link to youtube so people could hear the tune :?

Is that a wink of approval then? It's one thing talking about it and another putting it into practice. 1:05 - 1:25 would work.

Unfortunately there's one major flaw with this song, none of the North Terrace fans sing! I was in the carwash stand for the Rochdale game last season. The first half was brilliant, 3 - 0 up and the sun was shining. Second half was a full 45 minutes of heavy rain and Rochdale levelled the game 3 - 3. Gutted

I prefer to be standing along the side of the pitch at football matches, so I'll probably end up getting soaked in silence on a few occasions in the new stadium as well.
