They haven't finished the electrics yet so beats me how they can be tested.

And the water logged area's of the pitch - I presume your speaking of the 3g astro pitch at the rear?

Sammy h may mean the first fixing, and just incase anybody is wondering

First fix and second fix are terms used in the UK housebuilding industry.

First fix comprises all the work needed to take a building from foundation to putting plaster on the internal walls. This includes constructing walls, floors and ceilings, and inserting cables for electrical supply and pipes for water supply.

Second fix comprises all the work after the plastering to a finished house. Electrical fixtures are connected to the cables, sinks and baths connected to the pipes, and doors fitted into doorframes. Second fix work requires a neater finish than first fix.

The division of work is a convenient description because electricians, plumbers and carpenters will probably have to make two separate visits to one property under construction, at separate times. Project managers can report "first fix complete" or "second fix 50% done" and others can understand.

this would cause delay with the rest of the trades what follow them with the finishing etc.

Just been down and surveyed the new ground from the rear of the away end fence.

Good to see them still working at 6-45 The firm doing the turf on the training grounds was just driving away. The main floodlights were on and all working apart from the pylon adjacent to the Quadrant building.

I have to say I was a lot more impressed than I thought I was going to be although its hard to see how it can be ready for Coventry in 2 weeks.

If you drive down the school road towards the away end anyone can see that reasonable road access is not happening any time soon, thousand or two coventry fans driving to an unmade car park huge piles of un used buiding materials etc will not be put right for a while, not being negative here, if i did not care i would not keep looking
