I took a video camera to the Dag & Red game and have finally got round to posting it on You Tube. I've not taken a video camera to a game before, but for the last ever match at Christie I thought "what the hell" - enjoy, but tissues ready for the surprise final 30 seconds !!
Cheers, it is one of those you don't tire of watching. You just have to wish that we will get those sort of matches & that atmosphere at The Globe, fingers crossed I suppose. Will it ever sound right saying "The Globe" instead of "Christie Park" ? I have a mate who is a Sunderland fans & he still says he is going to Roker instead of The Stadium of Light.
Sorry I was at the Lincoin game that was when Mmorecambe went 3-0 at h/t and Rene Howe scored Lincoin's goal . The game I miss was when Morecambe won 1-0 and Lawrence Wilson got the winner
I was a bit unsure if I should take a video camera for fear of looking like a tourist, but I am glad I did. After all, who could have predicted the match and the afters would have been quite so emotional. We all knew it was going to be a wrench, but looking back I am so glad I made the film. I have another 10 minutes or so, but thought it may be a bit long for youtube.
No, it was all from earlier, warm-ups and bits of match action & I didn't get Tony Roberts doing his "stretches" either as I was just coming back the queue for the bog at the time. Apart from ex-players returning to Christie Park for other teams I don't think any other players from opposing teams have struck up such a bond with the North Stand than Tony Roberts - mad as a box of frogs !!
It was a good one, I couldn't believe how quiet the home fans were. Apart from the pocket of "let's try and wind-up the away end" Shrews fans to our right, I thought they were vocally poor. Got to be said though, they had just lost their manager & all hope of the playoffs.
