Morecambe Vs York City

There was 39 MFC supporters actually as myself, Steve and Dave were in the main stand!

I'm not sure where I got that Walker replaced Roche at half time. Must have had some kind of mental lapse!!

Despite the result we did move the ball well in large parts of the game.

I was pleased to see Jake Simpson play, and thought he did well. Parrish and Scott looked good as a centre half pairing and Jevons looked classy. Now that it's in the public domain, I thought Hendrie did well too.

Do you think Morecambe should sign Simpson because he was young player of the year at Shrewsbury last season.

And i think Phil Jevons will be the top goal scorer in League2 .

That's what I said !

From a personal and selfish point of view I'd like to see Sammy sign Jake.

Not sure about Jevo being top scorer, but it would be great if he was. He needs the right partner I think.

Morecambe have signed two strikers on loan.

And I do think we got a creative midfielder in Gary Hunter.

I did think it would be Adam Le Fondre but I'll reckon he will go.

Or it will be Marc Richards the number nine at Port Vale

Bring on the Wycombe game, where im sure the players will be more than ready.

Agreed nice one

Yep, some pretty poor results. But the actual season lasts 46 games. That's a lot of football. Barnet were at the top of table early on last season and nearly went down! We should be starting better but as always seem to play better after the clock's go back in October. It's just the way it is at Morecambe.

We haven't had a bad start to the season, the season hasn't even started yet.

I am confident we will be well prepared for the first game of the season on 7th August.

Sounds like it's the familiar tale of our midfield being unable to control a match which then puts needless pressure on the defence whilst creating nothing for the forwards!

...but just think how it would have been had we had a more competitive midfield and a stronger defence?

...but as you know other clubs are improving their squads by making signings without having to rely on trialists including those who have trialed elsewhere and failed!

I sincerely hope that our excellent management team are able to bring in that much needed quality as was confirmed by Sammy at the end of last season but the better players available are reducing in numbers day by day.

That must be of concern.
