Football League Emergency Meeting

Football League Emergency Meeting

Postby marky No.1 » Mon May 10, 2010 11:11 am

This "fallout" will effect all League Clubs. There is talk of the proposals creating a "Premier League 2".

Morecambe have never gone through the relegation process but the system they are creating with parachute payments is almost a pat on the back for some Clubs

Not surprisingly Sheffield Wednesday are'nt happy.

They were right not to be happy! Sheffield Wednesday are now £25M in debt and face a winding up order by HMRC, which then means a transfer embargo.

It seems in actual fact they have been quite shrewd and have already signed 8 players while delaying the payment to the revenue. Thus the transfer embargo won't effect them in the way it has the other Clubs! :o
