Speaking of the JPT, who's going to Oldham? The low admission should help persuade a good few to go, plus am I right in thinking it's a new ground for us? I'm looking forward to it, hoping we might see our first competitive win of the season sooner rather than later, whether it be in the league or cup.

I think I heard on one of the Sky Sports League programmes that they put out a weakened team in the League Cup as they want to focus on the league. Of course, the rules of the competition do state they must play a certain % of players who have played in the league this season

At the moment I think we need to concentrate on putting in a good enough performance to win ANY match, to boost confidence and morale!

Yes but what would you rather see us doing well in jpt trophy or getting some more points on the league table and get away from the teams with minus points?.

i think a win in any competition will help boost confidence, beating preston, wolves etc was definitely a big boost to the club last season, and a good win against oldham could kick start the season!
