The Globe Arena Season 2014/2015

The thing is we have only had 3 stands for years and no-one cared now it's mentioned every other day!

maybe in none league terms CP was of average standard and since the talk about moving to a completely new stadium is your reason

There are other areas of the site, namely the parts of land next to the main road originally motted as retail/hotel points, that can be used as such to generate revenue. The Board will have hardly been jumping for joy when learning of the news to cut back on the current 4th side, and plans are obviously there for when it's ready for expansion.

absolutely :!:

Perhaps the reason only 200 stand there is because they have to stand in the rain etc.
It depends how you look at it, few people choose it because its underdeveloped, not because
its a bad view.
Whilst it remains underdeveloped it never will bring in much revenue.

exactly when i try and get people(casual supporters) to come down with me, the first thing they say is what if it pisses down so we end up in the other stands then i end up at the bar for 90mins :|

As for the concern about the open sided lack of capacity, the Car Wash was hardly an area 'packed' week in, week out. I reckon that it's average was no more than 200 throughout the season. That amount doesn't justify spending 6 figures on a stand!

build them offices inside the home end itself and see the reaction, then i can come on here and say well if you dont like it go and support another club ;)

Yes but Chesterfields will have the atmosphere of a morgue with 3 or 4 thousand in an allseater. There will be huge spaces with just a spattering of fans.

The reason why the 'fourth side' will be developed as soon as money allows IMO is that it will bring more much needed revenue from more corporate boxes. All of the current ones are snapped up and will continue to be. We need more!

Won't any future stand on that side only be able to be two thirds the length of the pitch due to the community block?

If so why on earth have we built the community block there?

I have been lucky enough to see the ground inside and out and I had the same fears until I saw it for myself

Once you have seen it for yourself you will see that the Community Block will not impede any future development.

They have left plenty of space to build a big stand with elevated seats and boxes. I think Bar, catering and toilet facilities will be underneath (IMO).

Make your own mind up when you have seen it in the flesh, but I reckon they have thought of future development.
