Nick Sutcliffe

Nick Sutcliffe

Just to mention that I went to Nick's funeral yesterday, along with several other supporters and Rod Taylor from the Football Club, not to mention a load of Nick's family and friends.

For those that do not know Nick was a LONG term fans of Morecambe FC - he even used to be a kit man many years ago. He was a regular away fan on the Shrimps supporters coach, and usually went to even the furthest venues, often accompanied by his wife Janet.

Nick had been ill with a heart problem for a few months. He was 62. He had a very dry but keen sense of humour and will be sadly missed.

It's at times like this when a photo would be useful (and of Chris Cowan too). There are so many people who I 'know' at football but don't know their names. Obviously, it's a very real loss to their families & friends, but a loss to the 'Morecambe FC family' too.

So how did that work out then?

It's just come to me who Nick is with that description and mentioning his wife Janet.

Nick was a friend of a friend and I use to always have a chat with him when I saw him.

very sad and my thoughts go out to his family and especially Janet.

I was thinking exactly the same Keith but couldn't quite put it into the right words.

Nick is another huge loss for me. He and Dave Robertson were great mates and often went to cricket as well. I will miss them both.
