This thread deserves a serious response. Milner and Cole are different types of midfielder that can't be compared in my opinion. However the goalkeepers can be compared and there is a clear winner. David James is vastly superior to Green. This isn't because of the mistake Green made as James has made plenty in his time. James makes saves that very few others can and at the age of 39 that is incredible. Capello should have made him number one at the start of the qualification campaign.
