there's been some bad sending off decisions in the comp so far

Australia with Cahill & Kewell must be livid

He can't moan hand ball on the line, not even close to a mistake

Kewell was upset because he made a genuine attempt to stop the ball with his chest but couldn't get there in time and his arm got in the way. Nevertheless the correct decision was made.

it was ball to arm and not hand to ball like that blatant cheating so n so Henry and Maradona

i know its the letter of the law, but bring back the refs of old when they were left alone to use common sense instead of acting like robots and spoiling football matches and players dreams

and trial by TV ie. Maradona should have been banned for the rest of the tournament in 1986

you've got me going now

He stoped a goal bound shot on the line with his arm? How can that not be a red card no matter who is reffing th game? Finger tip to shoulder is classed as hand ball, so doesn't matter where it hit him.

19th September 2009 and you are watching your team lose to Morecambe at Christie Park

20th June 2010 and you are watching your team lose to Brazil in the World Cup

It's been a good nine months for Sven!

BBC highlights programme "what a year it's been for Sven Goran Erickson.... ...from Torquay and Morecambe, no offence, to Brazil and the World Cup". Has he been reading this forum?

If they were left alone to use common sense, then they wouldn't be consistent, and isn't that another major complaint about refs - the lack of consistency? Kewell's red card was 100% correct if unfortunate.
