LCC - Lancaster City Council?

The same LCC that have redecorated St Nicholas Arcade with St Georges Crosses and footballs? And have allowed a large number of flags and bunting onto their Ryelands housing estate?

What a joke this country is when 8 years after a long and protracted mission people still can't Afghanistan correctly; or that England is a nation and not a country and the country we live and who our armed forces represent is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It's not about race it's about ignorance, and we've got a huge battle on our hands.

Not a clever comment but a genuine question. Can you evidence this? Any (reliable) internet news pages etc that can confirm this as true?

So how did that work out then?

I hate that about the iphone. At times it can be too cllever for its own good.... is there a way to change the settings so that if you write a word you actually want it doesn't try and change it for a word that is more commonly used?

ok i accept my post was a little misleading and it wasnt meant to be clever

however my point was some of our councilers go OTT not to offend the ethnic minority in this nation simply wanting to fly our flag beit on council vehicles or council buildings...(the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).

may i ask if anyone knows if this is the norm in other countries or is it just here?????

I was told on Tuesday by a council worker friend that they had been banned from showing the Cross of St George on their work vehicles.

Pathetic, in my opinion.

The more it is used the quicker we take it back from the racists and bigots.

shrimpsave not what i know of, and ive done a fair bit of traveling.

to be honest i try not to think about it(my country) anymore, i stopped buying daily papers a few years ago now but sometimes i might pick one up off a work mate and have a gander, but it's just annoying how pathetic we've become bowing down to these people(left wing extremists) and having them trying to make us feel ashamed of our history and former empire :(

P.S. Type in Google 'lancashire county council England flags' and read the bollocks from the right wing press. Then read this from The Independent http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/ho ... 97915.html. Right wing Lancs CC are flying the Cross of St George on council buildings. However they've asked workers not to display flags on council branded vehicles for the reason that they want their vehicles and staff to represent Lancs CC and no one else when on official business. Commies!

Over here there are flags flying everywhere, all the cars, shops people, The country is caught up in this madness called the world cup.
The greek community have their flags, Brazil, italians shame the paddies aren't in, always good for the Craic and a few.
Frank Lowy even said Oz will get the world cup in 2022, apparently him and England have done a deal, you lot get ready for 2018 then us.

Not flying flags is unaustralian.
