WTF!!!??? World Cup Advert?

ITV HD has just shown an advert for a car with 'Argentinians eating oranges' instead of the England goal! Are we going to have adverts during games or something or was it a technical cock-up?

another terrible itv cock up,they did apologise at half time though.but also i get so annoyed at the way all the tv channels insist on showing replays whilst the game is in progress.they should wait until an injury or half time,it really spoils the coverage for me.they must have showed 6 replays of the england goal whilst the game was in play,terrible.

Missed that, we were making gourmet burgers, 'fries', coleslaw, olives and salad for that authentic US meal (not sure they eat salad though). We're planning on having 'sweet lamb', which is lamb cooked slowly with figs as an Albanian dish. Looks like goulash for Slovenia.

Hope ITV don't make a habit of screwing up the WC coverage

That is the host pictures. Sadly nothing ITV or BBC can do about that. They get the pictures from FIFA, hence the big FIFA logo everytime the said annoying replays happen. I'm sure ITV and BBC are just as annoyed as we are about it.

I think Durham Shrimp you may be mistaken.
I think it's the choice of the individual purchaser of the broadcast to arrange their own commercials and at what time.
Obviously ITV whereever decided to chance its arm early doors.
I also think that when purchasing you have to show the major sponsors ads, but I think these are at set times like, half time, just after etc.
I could however be talking bollox as usual.

I don't think either of us are talking bollocks but have crossed wires. My second post was about the 'FIFA' replays not the adverts. BBC and ITV get supplied with the coverage a la Grand Prix and Tour De France.
