Sponsors evening?

Sponsors evening?

Postby Christies Child » Sat Jun 12, 2010 6:23 am

The club have by now usually announced the date for the annual sponsors evening. It's regarded by many at the club as the social night of the year.

Does anybody know if it is still to be held?

Its usually around early June.

Maybe they are hoping to hold it at "The Globe" to maximise income from the event with all the bar takings etc

I think I saw somewhere on here that the new shirts are to be launched on July 24th so that ties in with the open weekend at "The Globe"

I'd agree, usually the sponsors evening guests are the first to see the new kit so no doupt the evening will be held around 20th July!!!

I am sure the commercial dept can confirm?

Understand it will be delayed until the autumn. Firstly everybody is going to be incredibly busy working on the stadium and the gala draw would be a diversion. Secondly shirt sponsors and a lot of other sponsors are in place. Finally it gives a bit of time to think about re-working/improving the gala draw to make it an even bigger occasion at our new home and obviously more time to sell it.

Ockers can claim total indifference with regard to the imagery, it is only meant to be indicative and is a little self indulgant as the 7th September is my birthday.
