They are taking addresses where the turf is being taken in case they need it back. When you pick up the turf you have to sign to accept you will take care of it in case it is needed back.

So what's happening to what's left? Garstang appear to be taking lots of stuff - half the pitch, floodlights and turnstiles (I think) while Accy have the sprinkler system.

The North Stand will be demolished, it's going nowhere.

Thanks Gnasher, great set of pics. They stir quite a few emotions, more so than Thursday night did. Its sad to see the stands being torn apart, the pitch being taken up, but all in the name of progress! No going back now!

Yup, I'd agree with that, it was more sad to look at those images than to actually be there on Thursday.

There's a video taken at sunrise on Friday morning, it finishes with Carlisle Paul dancing into the distance singing Bring Me Sunshine. If you thought the photos emotional .....

I spoke to a guy who put a quote in for removing the North Stand. The transport alone was in the region of £10K
