Tony Roberts is possibly the funniest and therefore my favourite ever away player. even though he broke my heart in the penalty shoot out he is worth the admission fee on his own. he not only expects the banter he loves it. screw the respect campaign, he'll want some abuse(within reason) it makes him play better and he clearly enjoys it. so lets give him a warm welcome and then a load of funny (if it aint funny it dont count) "abuse".

Best away keeper to wind up.We found out his nickname was froggit at school and started singing it,what a reaction we got.One of our fans went to school with him.Sing it to him on saturday,never know it might distract him.

Roberts holds the distinction of being the only goalkeeper ever to score a goal in an FA Cup tie when he netted for Dagenham at Basingstoke Town in a 4th qualifying round tie in October 2001.

Roberts also holds the record for the only goalkeeper ever to be sent off in the FA Cup in the opposing area. This occurred after his scuffle with Peter Clarke against Southend United at Roots Hall in the FA Cup 3rd round on the 5 January 2008.

I remember it too. It was in the days were you could go into the bar at half time, and carlise paul was talking to someone who went to school with FROGGIT. It was like chinese wispers going through the north stand, his face was a picture

Tony Roberts is always good for a joke, he knows what sort of a reception he is going to get from the morecambe fans, i think he enjoys the bannter.

I was also at the dagernham game last year, but all i can remember is our golkeeper throwing the ball between his legs into the back of his own net.
