Globe - more Stuff

Postby Mike W. » Thu May 20, 2010 12:50 pm

More photos taken yesterday pm are on the new ground web site.

:geek: :ugeek:   http://www.globearena.co.uk

Work goes on at a pace, fitting out the Main Stand, sponsors' lounges, first floor function rooms, ground floor rooms, the road work round the ground, floodlights, of course the pitch (now seeded), and the huge sea of gravel at the rear of the ground where the outside pitches are being prepared - and more !

And wash basins have joined the bogs in the ground floor room used for storage - ready to be installed.

Wow! It really is taking shape and coming together now!

It's going to be so fantastic when the atmosphere of last night (the last night at Christie) is brought in as the final touch 8-)

BRING ON THE GLOBE ARENA ERA!!
Bring me sunshine, in your smile.

Fab pics again Mike, looks like the fit out is progressing swiftly.

Cheers again, it's fabulous to go back over the weeks and see the changes happening.

They'll have to be damn quick. They were already pulling it to pieces as I drove past!

Just been to CP. Floodlights are down, lots of seats are out of the main stand, looks like pitch sprinklers have been ripped out, advertising hoardings out from in front of the North stand, dug outs have been, erm, dug out! And much more besides!!

Could you elaborate on the 'furniture, fixtures and fittings' which are for sale on Saturday?

Floodlights are off to Garstang
Sprinkler system to Accy
Seats to the Highland Games

Anybody want a bloody good North Stand.....or will it be bulldozered into the ground :?: :?: :?:

If so it's a crying shame...

I can't I'm afraid, although I believe there is a list on the official site indicating what's on offer. Things like Sammy's desk from the managers office, the boardroom table, dressing room doors etc...

Think the Vale RFC are taking some of the seats for their new stand that they are building. Others may be going to people who have bought them!

Great pics Mike.

Any clues as to where Chesh and his Potting Shed ( complete with tractor etc) will be?
