Time for Crusty Pie to become a Fortress again

Stating the obvious but it's true.

The Stoke manager (a team fancied for the drop) said after their win against Villa that if they are to have a chance this season the fans must do the business (at home) like they did at the Villa game. The Pie used to be a stronghold for us. Teams never liked coming here. We've got to go back to that again. Too quiet against Rotherham - even though the football from us was shite.

Let the guys who like to start the chanting do their thing and don't mock them for it and also can we have the bloody drum back.

Please can we have some passion back on the terraces. Football is all too sanitised these days.

As for the Bury game Vinny's right: it was a big improvement on Rotherham and the only difference between the two sides was that their back four didn't make any errors where as we did. You just feel that if we could get a couple of wins the confidence would be back and we'd be off and running again.

Midfield needs sorting though. O'Carroll should have come on earlier than the ridiculous 87 mins he found himself getting on for. And is Roache really better than Davies? Adams and Artell under the spotlight too but after only three games it's way tooo early to be writing anyone off yet.

It's a results business though and McIlroy knows it so more games against form sides is probably not what he wants right now. Struggling Barnet away on 13th September now looking a bit of a watershed game for us.

We need more quality but didn't think we played too bad at Bury to be honest.
