Morecambe defence...

Morecambe defence...

Your defenders have let everybody down....they cannot tackle, or defend to save their lives.

What a sad day for you.

Even had we won today, no one could that our defence is anything but abysmal. You don't concede as many as we do without that being blindingly obvious.

To be fair, Nerso was on here recently wishing us good luck. He hasn't posted anything we would disagree with!

So how did that work out then?

oi Nerso - stones in glass houses mate:

4th Morecambe 73 points GD +9
22nd Cheltenham 48 points GD-17

Look a little bit closer to home pal - our defense have let nobody down this season

BUT...

70+ goals for 60+ against, worst goals against in the league. There is something to work on there I think!!!

But is it a defensive inablilty problem or midfield tracking back problem?.

Good season as it goes but we can do better if we can attract the players.

WRONG

Darlington 87 against
Grimsby 69 against
Cheltenham 71 against
Crewe 73 against
Stanley 74 against
Burton 71 against
Lincoln 65 against

64 against is not great but we came 4th - 4th - our highest EVER league finish so don't try and tell me this has not been a good season - in fact do - it hasn't been good its been great!! 8-)

we've had a lot of injuries!!!!! and have had defenders playing out of position in midfield hence we cant pass the ball as normal!

and only being able to play one forward upfront

but!! hay where still playing L2 football in a new ground and am now expecting this current set of players now to go up automatically from this experience next season
