match fitness shouldn't be a problem he's only been out for a few weeks

oh and yeah great result after a nervy start we looked a hell of a lot better when Duffy was switched back to his usual position out wide with Hunter playing in the hole behind Mullin instead hence Hunter scoring the winner :D

Not a classic performance but we are there and that's all the history books will show.

Thought they played within themselves but can't recall Baz having to make a single save.

Thought Jimbo was lucky to stay on BUT those directly in line with the tackle, said that he got the ball first with a superb tackle. Their manager went ape shit after the game during the warm down and had to be lead away from confronting Jimbo.

Not sure in truth I fancy that lot in the final. But what will be will be!

I'm sure that the Daggers manager is looking forward to playing on our surface again!

Yes it wasn't the best game to watch but we got the result and that's all that matters, as it turned out we could have lost and still made the playoffs but the win keeps the momentum going and home advantage in the second leg.

A great day and atmosphere, one that would have been very fitting for our last game at Christie Park but of course we now have another last game  strange that we should be playing Dagenham again in a play off situation.

I have to admit I thought we were poor in the first half. Moss had a bit of a nightmare and the defensive play was terrible at times. I'm often a critic of Sammy McIlroy and I must admit I was scratching my head when he switched Duffy and Hunter around but credit where it is due - Duffy had a really good game when he moved to the right. I felt we were the better side in the second half, without really creating too much. Mullin was a very good choice as man of the match. Performed fantastically well and easily the best he's played whenever I've seen him. Aldershot may think differently but, from my position between the dug outs and the tunnel, Bentley's tackle definitely didn't warrant a red card. Their player made a total meal of it. Michael Oliver refereed brilliantly - showed common sense all the way through. All in all, a great result and the Daggers await :D

Not that strange, but fitting maybe. I spent the last one in 2003 on non weight bearing crutches so I wasn't best pleased that it went to extra time.

Play off tickets £ 13, a pint of cider in the York £3, the chance to rib Tony Roberts for maybe the last time...priceless :D

Jevons was rather drunk, like everyone, but did say he WOULD be fit for the playoffs several times.

I was rather sober im afraid , think Morecambe Mick was too. I was so looking forward to having a good drink but i was reduced to 1 pint an hour  . At least Fat Finn gave us a laugh when he sat down and his chair collapsed , hope they have stronger seats at the Globe :o . Hope your right about Jevons though .

Not too sober was I, but in control ;)

Looking forward to an 8am start this morning with the Lune and District season end tournament. ;)

I noticed you didn't get up and sit down again after the Finns earth moving experience :!:   Scared of the same happening? :D

Jevons did say that ".....I'm definately going to be here next season, after my contract finishes this summer I'm signing....." on stage, on mic.

I don't (ever) do hangovers, but woke up at 3:10 with a migraine from hell, spending 35 minutes under a hot shower the only relief :x
