Mullers close to new contract

Mullers close to new contract

Postby Christies Child » Fri Apr 30, 2010 8:18 am

Mullers said on Radio Lancashire Sport last night that he's close to signing a deal to keep him at the club for another season.

Counts himself a 'lucky chappy' to be at a club so close to the play offs.

Loved it at Accy but realised it was time for a change and things have gone far better than he could have hoped for.

Has scored more goals this season than in the last few, so we/he must be doing something right.

Also reported that Willow is back in contention and that PJ will be given a fitness test as he is also very, very close to a return.

It's definitely deserved, his workrate has been outstanding and his fitness is fantastic given his age! He has scored more than Rene Howe did in his time here and could have had a whole lot more!

Mullers is a class act at Div 2 level. OK he's not the fastest thing on two legs but he gives %100 effort, is a real handful for defenders to worry about and scores his fair share. He should be good for another season at least.Hope he stops with us.

Not only that but provided a foil for another 17 goals for (ho ho ho) Phil Jevons

News of another year's stay would be good, but given our lack of depth in the striking department, I'd rather he was used to give experience to the younger lads and playing cameo roles in games to provide a bit of oomph(technical term) when needed, whilst we develop another young target man in his mould.
